Interlude

1. Interlude features Paul Kimmel on flute.We improvised
this piece live in the studio with 12 string guitar.It has a beautiful
soaring quality which needed keyboards which I later added.
2. Blue Space was recorded in 1991.I had just bought a fretless
bass guitar and this was the first inspiration that came from playing it.I
needed slow melodic lines woven through the texture I had created.Tony
Buchanan was the ideal musician who layered over some exquisite soprano
sax. (NCEI Dolphin Award Nominations for Ambient Music 1997.)
3. Midday Seething Dreamstate is a piece I composed on the
Island of Gilli Truwangan, Indonesia. I met up with Raju,from Sri Lanka
who plays Dalruba(a violin type Indian instrument).After an amazing jam
I invited him into the studio where we played together live and recorded
2 tracks.
4. Gardinia Majestic This music is like the exquisite fragrance
of gardinias.Paul Kimmel plays beautiful flute.
5. Heavenly Harp was recorded live at the Belongil Cafe,Byron
Bay 1997.It was completely improvised.Jaiia plays harp,Peter Haddock on
flute,Matt Goodwin on drums and myself on steel string guitar.
6. Bella Balerina I composed especially for Anthony Branagan
on flute.(NCEI Dolphin Award for Ambient Music 1994.)
7. Rag Megh an improvised piece featuring Raju on Dalruba
and myself on guitar.
