Tarshito & Efiq
This album was nominated for 3 NCEI, Dolphin Awards 2003,Ambient,World and Instrumental Music, and won the Ambient Music Award.
Efiq is from Bandung,Jawa,Indonesia and Tarshito is now living in Australia,born in S.Africa, lived in S.America and
they both travel around the planet playing music.
This album is a fusion of Indonesian and World music,to promote peace and harmony between people no matter what their beliefs,colour or place of origin.
"In Sept. 2002, I met up with Efiq. (He has played with many amazing musicians from around the globe,including Indonesian bands Krakatau, Sambasunda
& Jugala Allstars.)
We had several amazing jams and landed up in the my studio where we made a few incredible recordings.The music fuses Efiqs versatile talents on Kendang (Indonesian drums),Kecapi (Indonesian harp), Suling (Indonesian flute) and several other instruments, and my talents on a range of guitars,bass,percusion and keyboards.
Overall it's a real fusion of Javanese music with Western music.
