This album evolved out of a period of intense raga practice every morning.
I based my study on a book by master sarod player Ustand Ali Akbar Khan. I synthesised, converted and
created excercises for guitar. I was studying 10 basic ragas. I would first sing then play the various raga excercises on my guitar using various tunings. The last section of each session was a technique of playing the drone string in the bass followed by improvising a melody. I would play this in 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14 and 15 beat cycles. Inevitably I would find myself playing some great grooves and melodies. I would then develope these and rush off to the studio and record them.
Later I invited Avishai who played exquisite shinai, ney, whistle and Turkish clarinet. Jeremiah from Adelaide came in for a session and played a great piece on Zaz. Sidhant Bhartia (a raga singer from Dheli,India who was in Byron Bay studying at SAE music college), wove a magical web throughout the album. Eshua blew some great didge. Then to complete the album Sangeet played sublime Sitar, Paul Kimmel magnificent flutes, and Sasha sang euphonious harmonies.

After receiving numerous requests for a dancing, didge album, I remixed several vibey tracks
I had already recorded. I took out all the other instruments and left just didge and drums, then added more drums and percussion to give each track a solid funky feel.
