This album evolved out of my meeting with Sangeet. We happened to be playing at the same concert and we ended up jamming some beautiful music together. He came up to my studio, stayed several days, we played many ragas and decided to create an album together.

1. Tabzitar - I composed a tabla rhythm and a raga and we improvised the rest. Sangeet on sitar and I played guitar. We recorded this a few times, chose the finest and then I added another guitar.
2. Gliding Through The Woods - I had these few chords with a very
major feel. We improvised together and I returned to add some smooth
keyboard strings, pads and sakuhachi. The vision we both had after listening
to the final result was how we chose the title.
3. Kirtan - This was a solo piece played by Sangeet on sitar. He felt
it
needed something else so I layered in some drony keyboards, tamboura, and
tablas.
4. Rag Mullum - I used the drums to give a basic rhythm and we improvised sitar and guitar using a raga I created at my home near Mullumbimby (hence the title). Extra guitars and sitar were blended in to enhance and colour the original piece.
5. Madhuri - Another Sangeet, solo sitar piece bringing out the wonderful sounds of the sitar.
6. Slow White - The slow sounds of whiteness introduce this improvised piece. A gentle, mellow sitar backed by soft keyboards and arpegiated guitars is the finale to this album.
